Glass façades, railings and windscreens cause countless bird collisions every year. The right glazing can make a real difference, and Surface Products, Inc. offers a complete line of bird-friendly glass solutions to help your project protect wildlife without compromising the design.
Glass matched to your project
No two projects face the same bird collision risk. Bird-friendly glass needs to be selected for the specific conditions on site and for the bird-friendly glazing ordinances in your area. Our product line covers the full range of specifications, from bird-friendly UV insulated glass and UV glass for railings to first surface etch and frit options.
Proven on a landmark project
Bird Safe UV glass for railings and windscreens has been in use for several years. One of its most visible applications is the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge in New York, where a pedestrian path features six scenic overlooks. Those overlooks use 120″ x 160″ triple-laminated glass with a Bird Safe UV coating.
The panels keep bridge visitors safe while helping to prevent bird collisions.
